In September 2006, the launch of our PPA2500 series introduced leading power measurement performance in a compact, cost effective instrument that quickly developed a reputation for exceptional accuracy and stability in the most demanding of power applications.

Now, the PPA5500 series extends our power analysis range still further for those who need the ultimate power analysis product.

While maintaining the wide frequency range and exceptional noise rejection for which the PPA2500 has become renowned, the PPA5500 series add increased voltage and current measurement ranges, greater processing power, increased memory, real time clock, high contrast colour display, 1GB non-volatile internal memory and external USB memory port.

- 1, 2 or 3 phase versions master – slave mode for 4, 5 or 6 phase - Real time Digital, Tabular, Graphic and Oscilloscope displays
- Simple BNC connection of N4L shunts for high current applications - RS232, IEEE 488, USB, LAN, Torque, Speed and Extension ports

We are pleased to announce the N4L PPA5500 series of Precision Power Analyzers have been certified by the National Physical Laboratory in the UK to meet the Harmonics and Flicker measurements standards including:
IEC61000-3-2 (Harmonic Limits)
IEC61000-4-17 (Harmonic Design Standard)
IEC61000-3-3 (Flickermeter Limits)
IEC61000-4-17 (Flickermeter Specification Standard)
More information will be released in the coming weeks regarding our Harmonics and Flicker solutions. At present the PPA5500-HC series power analyzer can be integrated with compliant Impedance Networks and AC Sources to form part of a fully compliant IEC61000 Harmonics and Flicker Test system.
